writing is said to be good. I used to write letters to the people who had hurt me or let me down etc being totally honest about how i felt. I also did it with therapist type people. I never sent the letters but the process helped me......good luck

This website! xD But seriously, it depends on you, you have to find what works for you. A lot of people find that talking helps, and you're always welcome to talk to us on here. Getting plenty of sleep will also help as you will be physically more able to cope with depression. Listening to music, writing, or creating art can help to express your inner feelings in a way that nothing else is able to. Long term, having an aim for your future will help you to stay focused on getting better. :)

Writing a letter to the people who hurt you seems like a good idea. Poetry seems to help a lot of people as well. Honestly, music was my best savior. It got me through a lot of hard times, from the times I couldn't sleep at night because I dreaded the next day to when I was all set to end it. As I could never really explain what I was feeling, I found that the lyrics spilled out my heart. As weird as it sounds. Photography was what actually ended my depression. It taught me to see the beauty in the littlest of things. And to have a different perspective on things. Then I joined Tumblr. & my whole world changed. At first, it was all about Tumblr. famous bitches. But then I found band blogs. Now, I couldn't be happier. They're the most amazing & caring people I know c: But even though there's so many things out there that can take your mind of things for a while. You've to keep in mind that those things may help you along but they might not always work sometimes. And no matter how many times someone might tell you something beautiful, it will never really sink in if you can't believe it. Also, things won't just happen over night. It takes time. But no matter how long it takes to recover, always keep your head up. Because there is no better feeling when you look back & realize that even though those times were tough, you got through it. I promise that you will see better days okay. Because time goes on & this too will pass xxx

many things even sleeping/napping.. just find something that either makes you happy or takes your mind off of things

In my honest opinion. It depends on why you are depressed? In general maybe write down in a notebook all the things that make you depressed, and then think of ways you can solve them. Sometimes you wont be able to but you can make the best out of alot of bad situations. i.e. Problem No Money Solution Write CV, look for jobs persistently. Sign to an agency. Problem Lonly Heart Solution Join clubs/classes where you might meet people with similar interests. Forums like this lol. Mmmm and also if your aware of something "fixable" about yourself, fix it. Dress and style so you feel confident. Problem Bored all the time. Solution Learn something new and stick to it. eg Instruments (guitar is easy peasy), Languages, Photography, Music Editing, Poems, Song Writing, e.t.c Problem Dont know what to do with your life Solution Speak to a career advisor. Do some voluntary work for free, to get an idea of different job sectors. Speak to people in different vocations. Problem Bullying at school Solution Buy a gun (half joking). Mmm try to make yourself less a target. Dont give them any incentive to start on you. Avoid going places if theyre there like if they near a toilet go to another. Speak to a freind or a supportive teacher. These just examples of how youd write a list.
