How does this outfit sound typically? Aug 18 2012, 11:37 AM
okay I've decided on becoming more black and dark in the clothes I wear. For the Winter, how about a black trench coat, plain black tee, black super skinny jeans, all black converse, black eyeliner and maybe painting my nails black when I feel like it. Does this sound more Goth or is it perfectly Emo??

Well in my opinion I think your style sounds badass :). Im not really sure about the trench coat though. I dont think trench coats are very good looking. Im more of a leather jacket type of person (thats just my opinion though). Just be yourself and chose your own style. I think it sounds great!

(IN MY OPINION) This outfit sounds more 'emo' than 'goth'. The hightop converse kinda gave it away but if you feel comfortable with this style go for it! Just remember that you should be yourself because no one can be a better YOU! :)

Sounds good to me. :] Although I do have to agree that I'm not a huge fan of trench coats either, but that shouldn't deter you from wearing what you like. ^_^ As weird as this sounds though, I would just make sure that all of your blacks match. If your shirt is super dark and you jeans look pretty faded (or vice versa) it can look kinda odd. That's why I almost never wear full black outfits. All my shirts are super dark and my pants are super faded. XD

Besides the trench coat, I'd say the outfit sounds more emo than goth, but who cares? If you feel comfortable in it, go for it!

to be honest being goth doesn't mean they wear black all the time i recon true goths wear as much plain denim jeans, plain shirts, band shirts etc as they do gothic clothing but i'ld say thats emo not goth but then cloths are cloths anyone can wear all black
