A while ago I posted a topic about "scene" being the new "emo". However now I am beginning to feel "scene" just didn't quite cut it or last the distance and "emo" is still more popular. Agree or disagree? Oh and please do not have a debate about stereotyping!

well i diffanatly dont think that scene is the new emo but i do think scene is more popular than emo at least in the main stream i think its more socaily accepted to. But i think the emo culture is a lot stronger and more bonded than the scene culture.

Well, here in the states, at least in the Michigan area, scene is still really strong and emo is waning. I've noticed something peculiar though; Sighting either is very rare now. I can barely recall the last time I've seen any outside of a mall; and even then that was probably a month ago. And I go out a lot. I'm still rooting for the Goth comeback, though. It's on the horizon, I just know it!

I'd certainly say 'emo' is more popular in the UK as 'scene ' is not as big in sytle as it is in the states but it's hard to tell really it's become more crossing over between the two in the last yr or so

well here in oklahoma scene is deffs coming out more i do think that it is more socially accepted but i do believe the "emo" here are staying together....i dont think scene is the new emo tho...

well in Australia i dont see any scene people at all, all i see are other Emo's, but still i dont see many emos here eaither XD but yea i would have to say that the only time i see people dress up like scene style is at parties! so yea i recon emo has deffinatly come back :)

In holland all those damn mainstream kids want to look-a-like scene people.. Those fake people with their Uggs and Nickelson-jackets are going to Dubstepparty's and stuff like that .. And like everyone is wearing Vans here, don't know if that's a world-wide trend or smth??

In Australia, I barely see any scene kids at all, mostly emos, especially where I live. Pretty much everyone here is into the whole 'hipster' thing >.<
