How can I be less shy? Nov 02 2012, 03:05 PM
Ok so um... I'm not sure if i posted this in the right place. Sorry if i didn't >_< Anyway... I get really shy around people, I can hardly ever start a conversation with someone, and im kind of socially awkward too. Anyone know how to overcome this?

Believe in your self and give it a try! if you dont try starting a conv sometimes others wont too and if you do it all time it will be always a no in friendship:( you deserve to have friends just believe it :)

i used to be the same way u will come out of your shell use those qualities to your advantage they make u unique! just be your self and confidant with who you are and dont second guess your self. just learn to say whats on your mind even if it seems stupid as hell or embarising. once your confidant beging social just comes naturally and if people dont like what u have to say fuck em. their is nothing wronge with being socially akward it make you fun and different. i bet if u just steped out of your confert zone some times people would find you super interesting, if not their not cool enough for u :D

i have the same problem :L what i do is if i really want to talk to people just try and find something like see what they're wearing or listening to and if you also like it, jsut say 'i like teh shirt by the way' or 'you listening to *band name here*?' :)

also try and talk to new people with friends so your not on your own :)

I can be like that a lot around new people. Find common ground to talk about. I originally had a lot of good ideas, but as soon as I clicked on this thread my mind when blank o.o I'll post them if I remember.
