Question about teasing/back combing Hair? Nov 06 2012, 12:44 PM
Ok so I have a lot of layers in my hair and i was thinking of teasing/back combing it. But i heard it damages the hair. I'm hoping someone here has experience with it ...Did it damage yours ? thanks :)

a girl i liked had hair like this and she harmed them .... she was damaging her hair with her straightener! so yeah or cut it really short to do it or put a gel in it so as to tease them without harm!

i tease mine everyday, and yeah it gets kinda dry and brittle. if your going to tease it use some sort of leave in conditioner thats made for repairing hair. it fixes mine :)

i tease mine some times, it dosnt really harm it but brush it out before you go to bed and u might want to use detangler when u brush it out to keep from damaging it. i just mix a glob of conditioner and water in a spray bottle to put on it when i brush it out if its kinda tangled.

well i have naturally thick hair and i make sure to straighten my hair before teasing...it makes it so much easier to comb back out. I am sure it probably is damaging but, i do it anyways :P

i teasing my hair when i go out for shopping and in other Places but not in the school i think it is not very good to the hair you can make it teasing but not all the time ^^

i don't think the teasing does much of the damage, it's the hairspray you use and then brushing after that damages the hair.... ive say to not do it much as you do just kill your hair (coming from someone who use to have it up high)

Hairspray and then brushing hard can be bad I guess. However just brushing and using a decent brush is actually good for your hair and scalp.

do it in moderation if you go for it!!! my hair goes a bit ike paper some times if i go ott!!
