this is somthing i have been thinkin bout for a minute what the hell happend to hot topic!!??? like for real back in the day they were the shit i could walk in there and want to buy everything! they had the coolest stuff every thing was super hardcore and awsome! now i walk in there and im like what the world? there like not even underground and hardcore anymore. it all started with the whole sceney trend and now their not even the same store. like they sell justin bebier and lil wayne stuff. really? i miss the old hot topic :/ does any one else feel this way?

OMG I noticed that on their site. They sell fucking One Direction posters. I mean, really? And there aren't really any ideal skinny jeans for sale there anymore. Not enough black clothes and all that. I also heard that lots of preppies shop there now. Oh lord O.O

I've noticed the same in some small alternative colthing stores in the uk i.e Fourleaf clothing gets on my nerves alittle that the stores still have the guts to call themselves alternative stores but some seem to sell more mainstream stuff than what they claim to !

Here in Australia we don't have Fourleaf or Hot Topic, but we do have Dangerfield. It used to be awesome and one day it started selling Rihanna merch. The next day when I was walking to school I noticed that it had a broken window and the words "Stay Hardcore" were spray painted on the ground. My best friend and I almost pissed ourselves laughing. :3

to be honest in this day n age most alternative stores need to sell at least some stuff like that to get profit.. it all boils down to money I'm afraid.

Guys think of the name. "HOT TOPIC" It sells stuff that everyone is talking about. The Topics that are hot in the world. Along with "Hardcore" "Scene" kid shit.

Ik!! I hate it! I quit shopping there. I buy from the Vampire Freaks online shop now. Its like the old Hot Topic. The last time I went to the Hot Topic where I used to shop, one of the preppy bitches in my class was looking at a Justin Beiber tee in the same place I used to buy BOTDF shirts. I almost had an aneurism.

I think Hot Topic is overrated. x,x It sells stuff for consumeristic pseudo-alternative army of clones not for creative ppl. But still you can find some nice things there. aww... I call this part of alternative fashion mass-alternative ^ ^ now I can see that the old one was good ^ ^ There is a shop similar to the old Hot Topic in my city. It is somehow hidden so most of ppl who know it were led there by others who knew it before. *-^ But still I think that D.I.Y. rocks! <3
