Too Clingy or Too Distant Jan 09 2013, 04:29 AM
There is a question I've been asking myself all the time. Is it worse to be too clingy or too distant during a relationship? What would put a relationship more at risk? I know that many people usually leave their significant other because their lover would hardly talk to them and act distant, but also they would leave them when they can't get away from the person and just won't give them space. I don't know... what do you think?

it's getting the balance right to be honest and it just differs between people. Some like cling-ness others like to have space and time on there own. Just got to find that balance really

It honestly depends on who you're with.

Definitely would prefer somewhere between the two, but if I had to choose, I would prefer someone too clingy. Clingyness can be dealt with, and at least you know they care about you.

It's better to be too clingy than be to distant. When someone is too clingy, you know just how much they care about you because they want to spend so much time with you and want to know what you are up to! It's easy to solve this kind of problem by just talking to the other person about PERSONAL SPACE. If someone is too distant, it just gives the impression they don't care and they really aren't into the relationship. I don't understand when people say they don't want a clingy boyfriend/girlfriend. I would love to have one!
