I'm here without you baby But you're still on my lonely mind I think about you baby And I dream about you all the time I'm here without you baby But you're still with me in my dreams And tonight it's only you and me Here without you, by 3 Doors Down

I honestly can't tell you how your parents will react, as all parents are different. In all honesty, you don't necessarily need to tell them you're emo, just dress how you like and listen to the music you like and if they ask, be honest with them :)

Don't stereotype yourself to them. The best thing is to not put yourself in a group. To them, that's only going to seem like you're jumping on a bandwagon of all the misconceptions people have of emos. I agree with the assessment of being yourself, and if they ask, tell them you don't care about cliques, you just like dressing that way and being who you are. This will show them you are above the pressures many teens face, and they will worry less. If you want them to open up and be more understanding of you as well, through experience I can tell you this is the best way to go about it. It doesn't guarantee success, but they are less likely to judge you and be more open to your feelings.

The thing is my parents have NO idea what emo realy really is they only know the stereotype, they're not overly caring of how i look, act, or even what music i listen to. But if they i knew was emo.. well theyll probebly flip and be all worried an stufff. But thanks for your answers guys i really apreciate it.
