Firstly hi and I hope you're well. As some of you may know I have been an avid campaigner on self injury for a few years, this has lead me to make websites, give presentations, petition the government and even submit a motion to national conference calling on NUS to help educate unions, staff and students around the issue. Unfortunately I haven't seen progress around the motion and it is due to lapse either this year or next so I have started up my campaign again at a grass roots level. With celebrities like Johnny Depp, Russell Brand, Princess Diana, Colin Farrell, Megan Fox, Kelly Holmes, Angelina Jolie, Demi Lovato, Marilyn Manson, and Sid Vicious all admitting to harming themselves and recent cases such as Amanda Todd it is the perfect time to help educate people around the issue. I have recently given a presentation to my class on SI and I am asking my institution to allow me to distribute information and possibly hold a session with staff on a professional development day. I am not asking you to go this far but rather to help me raise awareness around SI by joining the Thunderclap below.
