I don't wanna live in yesturday. Cross my heart untill I die. Don't wanna know just what tommorow may bring. Because the day has just begun no matter what ever else I've done I'm here for you. I'm Here For You, by Ozzy Osborne

Could vampires still work in a band setting. May 31 2013, 07:10 AM
Hi! I've been jotting out the plans for a shock rock group called The Coffindolls for a good couple of months now. The theme of the band will be based around a group of politically radical vampires, most of the lyrics deal with politics, religion, being an outsider, satire and sick humour. I've made some real progress with the songs but I've hit one small snag. The recent portrayal of vampires in films like Twilight have put a lot of people off ideas like this. So, if anyone has an opinion on whether this would work or not, please let me know. Also, if anyone has any suggestions for alternate band names, member names and potential song titles relating to the theme then feel free to share them, Sincerely, Alucard, Prince of Sorrows. PS All trolls and ner-do-wells will be rebuked (seriously, guys! Sleep with something! There is a world beyond your room! 0.o)

well there's bands out there like FVK who have a similar dress to your idea and it seems to have paid off for them , but i guess it depends on your audience for your music on whether the concept will work or not

FVK's dress sense has been a major influence and the demographic will probably consist of people like their fan base. If you want a better idea of the look I had in mind, check out Devey Suicide.
