Best Purple/Blue hair dyes Jun 07 2013, 02:17 PM
I'm thinking of dip dying my hair a shade of Purple or blue ...maybe both this summer =D but i've no idea what colours/ brands work best (both semi and permanent dyes)as this will be the 1 st time dying my hair myself ...

Crazy Colour is really good but it's only semi-permanent so doesn't last as long :/ You can get a plumish purple colour from LiveXXL brand which is permanent but it's not really bright. If you're in the UK, try and find a B&M Homestore as they sell semi-permanent blues and purples which are both really bright and last ages :) Hope I've helped a bit ;) There's also two semi-permanent a hair dye brands called Stargazer and ManicPanic but I've personally never used them so I don't know how good they'd be.

I've always used Directions Semi Permanent dyes n_n I know they work fantastic on blues and purples and they're vegetable dyes but still really really bright so they won't damage your hair! good luck ^o^

I use Live Color XXL mystic Violet which is really good, I know they do a lighter version too for the same price. Only problem is it's a bugger to get off if it drips or you get it on anything. I haven't experienced it fading at all but obviously your roots will grow out.

ion, splat or punky colors work good, they are semi-permanent

Maniac panic works but it washes off easily, besides, it will last like 5 or 6 weeks. But still, it gives you a good color.

Use the brand "Directions" it's a great haircolor, and I've used it a couple of times, but you can only get semi permanent blue and purple haircolors, but this is properly the best you can get, had blue ones, it hold only 2-3 weeks, but purple should hold for 4-5 weeks I think ^.^

I've literally just dyed my hair purple and black, the purple being Directions in Dark Tulip (though the dye was left on for about an hour rather than the recommended 15 minutes) xD I'm hoping to add some pics tomorrow once it's daylight and you can see the colour clearly, and I can tell you how well it sticks soon :P
