There's a lot of things I do for my family and they would never appreciate it. Sometimes instead of pointing out the good things I've done, they point out the worst things about me, as if I am not good for anything. When it comes to friends, I remembered their birthdays and give them gifts and appreciate them. I sort of don't get the same thing in return. Also, I remember I was with my ex boyfriend, I've done a lot of things for him, but in the end he told me I was good for nothing when clearly I've done everything. So, I'm not appreciated much, but I don't complain about it anymore. But when I am, its like getting chocolates. <3

Me and my boyfriend have been together for over a year. I've given up all my friends to see him, spend every weekend with him although it costs me to get there and back, spend all my money on gifts for him and generally just devote myself to him and give him all my love and dedication, yet he told me he's not sure he loves me anymore. The last lovey message he sent me was back in October. I just feel like I've dedicated myself to someone who just wants to throw me away and doesn't appreciate all that I've given/given up

I seem to do favours for people all the time (especially at work) but when I need a favour it's like I shouldn't have even wasted my breath asking. It feels pretty crappy!

yes! I have always done a lot for my friends throughout the years talked to them when they needed it, gave them money, covered for them, gave them a place to stay, picked them up when they were in a bad situation, went out of my way to make sure they had a good time and were taken care of, basicly always being there at a moments notice to help and love them unconditionaly but from most of my friends I don't even get a quarter of that back like most of them don't do anything to make me feel special like I do them or are there for me as much as I am for them like if they were going through a hard time I would be talking to them every step and helping them every way I could but if I was going through a bad time they would be like that sucks :/ it can be frustrating but as long as I feel I did all I could for them and they are happy I usally get let it go.

yeah.. I often feel this way.. Even not accepted.. but the feeling of not being appreciated appears in most stupid situations.. And sometimes it's breaking me down.. cause I have problems with my self-confidence..Like everything I do will never be good enough even to be noticed..
