I feel like I'm always giving out advice, and helping people when they're in a tough spot, and recently I've been having a really crap time and I just expected someone to be there but nobody was. I went for a couple of days just feeling like nobody cared and just completely cut everyone off and I was so upset. It now I just feel completely selfish and ashamed to have expected people to be there and.... Well what I really wanted to know is, is it selfish to just assume that people will be there for you because you would do the same for them? Because its starting to bug me more that my original problem.

No it's not selfish at all. I know what that's like I've had crap friends like that where some little thing happens to them and they cry and whine and I still show sympathy and then something serious is going on with me and they just wrote me hate letters :( it's a sad thing you know. Just remember you are a great person at heart and one day you will find someone who will treat you the same you treat them. Hang in there friend :)

No it's not selfish I've had this happen recently and those i helped in the past just turned there backs and left me standing in more hate etc than i started in making things worse. It's times like these we learn who our true friends are. But just remember your a stronger person than you think and can pull through this and no matter what there are people out there to help and people who care about you , even when you least expect it.
