I'm always screaming my lungs out till my head starts spinning. Playing my songs is the way I cope with life. Won't keep my voice down. Know the words I speak are the thoughts I think out loud. All I Want, by A Day To Remember

Scar camouflage makeup?? Oct 01 2013, 03:06 PM
every time i've tried to use make up (concealer or foundation mainly) on my scars they always seem to look alot worse than they really are which isn't great... Dose anyone know how or what makeup is good to use to cover scars ? As covering over them with long clothing ,bracelets etc isn't always practical for me Thanks

Hey there. Firstly, what kind of scars are they? Are they facial scars from spots, or another kind?

spots and facial scars i can cover pretty well with normal concealer but other more (reluctant to say this..) 'stereo typical' areas show up more with makeup on :s

I have the same problem. Apparently fake tan does a good job if you don't mind it.

well i learn all my makeup from of course youtube and google [cuz i love makeup stuff like zombies and aliens] heres what i do to cover up my scars, but there mainly on my arms so it might work diffrently.. well first wash were ur scar/s are dry it well apply ur nomal dose of conceler i use a very creamy one so yea, anyways while its still wet apply/sprinkle eyeshadow the color of ur skin or ur desired color on it then when it dries go over it with a powder brush u know those big fluffy ones and dust off excess makeup, lightly not hard! if u want more coverage apply foundation on top to equal it out. hope this helps, if u dont want a heavy look repeat the steps but with less conceler, so it doesnt look like its there or globed up[this depends on what you desire to use] hope this helps cuz this is from my memory. :p

keep moisterising them and the best bet in my eyes is just to hide them/cover them up. They'll heal up over time :)

If they are coloured (like still red or purple or whatever) try getting those coloured concealers (like the green one helps cancel out redness and that) that could help. But personally I haven't found anything that works for me yet either.
