online schools! can anyone help? Oct 24 2013, 05:35 AM
So I really want to be in an online school. I have wanted this since the summer but my mom purposely never finished my application so that I would get stuck in a public school. Now it's the end of October and school is slowly eating away at me and its the only thing in my life that really depresses me. Is there anyone doing an online school right now? Can you share your experience with it? I need making this decision.

I did K12 in my 7th year. It was a great, steady, slow learning thing. You can get aaaaall your work done in a hour, or in a week. It piles up but honestly? Its easy as fuuuck. I, of course, relied on Google to help me when i was stuck, but it was so easy, id do maybe an hour of work, then blow the day off on video games, excersing, and im still in my pjs. The con? It gets lonely if you dont have friends.. you cant really connect to the other K12 users. WARNNNING: Do not, i repeat, do NOT do Ecot. omfg, its horrrible. you can only get on the school page, literally nothing else. no facebook, no yahoo, nothing. it torturous. it also times you, so they know exactly how long you were on.. A lil advice? Go with k12. you get a free computer, internet access unlimited, and all kinds of freedom

Like Gothic said, K12 is probably the best option. You can basically go everywhere on it. Um, I'm in Silvies Web Academy Do not do it!! They block all sites on the computers!!! So yeah, probably K12 :3

Never done online school but I was homeschooled until I was 8. It gets a bit lonely if you don't get out much and it can drive you a little crazy staying inside all the time cos all the other kids are in school. I hated school when I was 13/14 too, it was so bad I didn't turn up half the time. Id turn up in the morning and jump the gate after first lesson. Tbh it's only now im in my last year that school has gotten bearable.

It's one if them bullshit stereotypical schools full of judgemental people. When I started hanging around what everyone called "suicide corner" and started liking this kind of music and style, everyone started spreading rumours that I was worshipping Satan, cutting (true but I never let anyone see), attempting suicide every other day etc. I never even wanted to be in school in the first place so I just never turned up.
