I've been freinds with this girl for a few years but I can't tell her how I really feel about her because I don't want to ruin our friendship, when I speak to her I feel so unbelievably happy and when she laughs I feel as though nothing can go wrong but when she's gone I feel so empty and dead inside I end up cutting my hand open with a shaving razor just so I feel something... its like I'm emotionally addicted to her but she's already got a boyfriends so there is absolutely nothing I can do. I keep breaking down crying and keep hurting myself more and more... can someone please help?

Not trying to be morbid but we can't have everything we want. Besides maybe just staying friends will be better in the long run because staying friends means you'll probably never lose her. There's no reason why you can't love her and just be friends, yes you don't get to kiss or whatever but that doesn't mean you cant love anyone as a friend. I mean who knows something could happen between you to but at this moment she's in a relationship and you should come to some means of acceptance to help yourself more then anything.... allow room for others to enter your life :)
