Hi Guys! Okay so, I'm going to stretch my ear. I have a standard ear piercing already, so I'm sizing up to a 1.6. I've already tried to stretch it once, I used acrylic [idiot] but my ear got infected pretty damn quick and closed the hole. So, my friend and I have ordered steel tapers from a woman who sells alternative jewelry at the market. Do you guys have any tips on keeping it clean, caring for it, sleeping with tapers, etc? Thanks!

Keeping it clean, I like to give my ears and tapers (THANK YOU for using the correct name, by the way!!) in a nice solution of boiled water that has cool to a nice warm, and put about half a teaspoon of salt in there. It helps clean the taper from the lymph build up n.n Sleeping shouldn't be a problem if it's steel, so you won't have to worry about it snapping on the pillow or against your head. Once it's healed, I suggest you take it out nightly just in case it does fall out, but it shouldn't be a problem if you have the rubber o-rings on them. If you're still cautious, try taping them to the side of your head while you sleep. With the care, you should just keep it clean, clear off any lymph build up and make sure that it's in properly, then there should be no issues! Good luck! And sorry for a long rely XD

Yeah basically as above I clean my jewellery and ears with a sea salt solution and I like to massage some vitamin e oil into my ears when I take the jewelry out and I tend to clean them every couple of days! :D

Dont put everyrhing in at one time and use Vita Merfen afer u stretch
