My first poem, please tell me what you think? The shadows that creep in the darkness, The shadows that destroy you dreams, They turn your desires to darkness, Nightmares, They are selfish, they don't care who they hurt, They will get what they want, It is not negotiable. They lead to depression, upset and tears, They don't stop for your feelings, They carry on for their own, As the lion creeps out of the depths, It pounces on it's next victim, The shadows are top, The lions are the king of the jungle, Darkness the king of the world, They see everyone else as below them, Don't mess with their evil, That lies between their eyes, As their soul swallows you up whole, A python lurking with no fear, If you mess with them you face, A lifetime of terror, A lifetime of knowing your sins, A lifetime of regretting seeing them, They don't care what you feel or do. The shadows live in the darkness, Black on black, It is impossible to tell, When the horrors are going to strike, No warning, no sight, no sound, No precautions can be made, To stop these horrors prevailing, These are the shadows in your nightmares, Like incurable sores, We are the shadows, I am a shadow, You better watch out, We are coming for you
