I want a girlfriend ._. May 20 2014, 12:41 AM
What do I do if I want a girlfriend, but no one I know is nice, or if they are nice they aren't single, and everyone online is against long distance? ._. well everyone I've met anyway.

I'm not against long distance but, long distance does suck a little bit because you have no proof that the other person is truly being faithful, etc.

It can be really hard to make long distant relationships work, but remember that even if you live close by theres no gurantee people are being faithful, its harder to get away with, but because of technology and people spending along time out of the house for work, studying etc it is possible. But don't loose heart there is someone for everyone out there and if you truly have feelings for each other you will eventually overcome the distance problems. First of all don't settle for the first person you see or meet just because they are in a "conveinet" place. Get to know people online/offline as friends and sometimes romantic interests can grow from there. If you meet someone online get talking to them and see how much you have in common, don't rush into anything but if all goes well perhaps swap numbers so you can at least hear from each other's voice and see how the conversation flows, this can be a great indicator as to whether you'd get on in person! Eventually you may decide you wish to meet one another. Arranging a meeting can be an anxious time because you never know exactly who your talking to until you've spent time with them in the flesh. But hopefully with your emils/telephone calls you will at least have a few good talking points so it won't feel quite so much like a first meeting. Also make sure you bring someone with you or let someone know where your going as whilst most people online are perfectly decent some will try to decieve you. This can of course happen in person too! Even if things don't work out romantically you may still make some good friends along the way, don't go looing too hard for love it will usually find you sooner or later! ;)
