hallo :3 i'm new here (well, i joined last year but i've only started using this today!) and i thought i'd somewhat introduce myself. i'm seeing la dispute in august and i'll most likely be going by myself and i was wondering if i was the only one who mutely waltzes into a queue and stands there or do any of you actually dare to perform the dreaded feat of socialization? edit: super sorry if i've posted this in the wrong section or anything omfg

I met a guy once up in Glasgow who went to see Limp Bizit by himself. My friend and I were standing behnd him in the que and started singing Tenacious D's Final Showdown. He joined in. Seemed like a pretty cool guy.

no worries , many topics on the site overlap! well firstly welcome to the site :) secondly , i tend to go to most gigs alone and find socialising in the queue intimating at first but once you've plucked up the courage to talk to the person behind or infront of you with alittle small talk, things are easier as you have something in common ie the band(s) in this case and it's also a great way of making new friends, as well making future gig buddies etc

I go to a lotttt of gigs by myself haha :} People usually pity me and talk to me or if I'm drinking I'll be brave and talk, but apart from that I'm quiet :P Same at festivals! I go to Leeds Fest every year, spend 99% of it by myself 'cos my friends/family go see other bands. Not fuuuun but eh.

Yeah I go to gigs alone and I preform it's not that scary and it's a great feeling when they applaud u may even be asked by the people there to come back and preform again
