Death and Black Metal fans Jun 18 2014, 11:31 PM

I listen to a majority of Death Metal (In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse) and Black Metal (Dimmu Borgir, Carach Angren, Mayhem, Burzum, Dark Funeral), and I was wondering if anyone else here does. If you know any really cool Death Metal, or Black Metal bands, you should totally help me compile a list below. That'd be amazing, and help me, and all of you to come up with new music to listen to. ^_^ Have fun guys.

In flames is awesome, were they good live? I don't listen to that many death metal or black metal bands but the ones I do I find amazing, I've been looking to find more bands to listen to. What I listen to now along those sub genres is cannibal corpse, death, in flames, slayer (if you'd consider it death metal), mercyful fate, behemoth, venom and children of bodom is like my favorite band. I need to brush up on my death metal lol, any band recommendations?

I loved In Flames when I saw them live. I saw them at a music festival we have here in Australia called Soundwave, back in 2012. I got to the stage where they were playing just as they started playing "Deliver Us" There I was in a full length trench coat, 40°C heat (that's around 112°F), watching my favourite band playing with at least 1000 people between me and them. I am proud to say that by the time they had finished that song, I had made my way all the way to the mosh pit, broken through it, still wearing my trench coat mind you, and I was right up against the barriers, cheering, screaming, and belting out the lyrics as loudly as I could. Best experience of my life. I've also seen Dark Tranquillity, and At The Gates. I love the three pioneers of MeloDeath. They are so good. ^_^ MetalChick, a few recommendations for you would have to be Dark Tranquillity, At The Gates, Aeon, Arch Enemy (another great live band... well, I'm not sure now that they have a new singer but they are amazing either way), Eye of the Enemy, Deicide.... errr, if you want any more let me know, I'm always happy to throw music at people.

in flames are a great band! Orange Goblin are another one of my favourites alongside Unleashed, The Crown, Sentenced, Malevolent Creation,Entombed, Carcass and Amon Amarth :)

i've saw them live in Birmingham earlier this yr :) not a massive fan, i must admit but the pits at the gig were great :3

Entombed, Nekrogoblikon, Finntroll, Amon Amarth and Meshuggah are some of my favourites :} I prefer Celtic/folk/Viking/Pirate and death metal combined though hahaha :}
