Hello There! Hey don't worry! make up artistry is very subjective and your mom though very supportive may not feel she has sufficent knowledge to pass judgement, she's probably very proud of you though and wants you to succeed, her comment probably came out wrong! On the pictures, sometimes when people mark a picture, its just the particular image they are rating not the person behind it! Not everyone will rate the person they know just the picture they see which isn't a good judge of character! You certainly are not gross, you are stunning and if you did your own make-up in your profile pic then I think you've dispelled the myth of you being talentless too! And it's great you name your guitars who couldn't love that! ;)

Yeah I did my makeup for that, that was nothing really just me messing around with my mufe palette. I made the lipstick shade myself. Thanks, I needed that :)

Haha! Sounds as if you really know your stuff! THe lipstick shade suits you just right too, so You clearly have a talent for knowing what suits you and most likely other people too! :)

I myself have major insecurity issues as well. I also use makeup from time to time and well you're a hell of a lot better than I, so keep it up if that's truly what you want to focus on in life. You're make-up looks fine and if you've taken a look at some of the models on this site; a low rating doesnt really define how attractive you are. Their are people who site model for this website and others that get rated a 5 or less that really deserve a full 10 and you can see that by looking though all of them. One person's rate on you means nothing. In fact nobody's rate on you should be taken to heart. Make sure you yourself believe you're beautiful. Fuck what other people have to say. As for this guy. If it's on and off as you stated; then i'm sorry to say this (you most likely don't want to hear it) but you need to drop it with him. Any off/on relationship is unhealthy and it's only effecting your mental state of being. Don't let something like that bring you donw. Cut cold turkey and move on to bigger and better things. That's my 2 cents. I hope I helped somewhat c:

I always feel insecure even when I did modeling.ya I would say the same about the pictures it really doesn't mean anything .. believing in yourself would mean alot more to you even though we'd all like to be called pretty by everyone or be rated highly but your always going to find someone who has a different opinion and if they would rate you lower you'd get more insecure thinking your not pretty when you really are. It's just a number.. that number means nothing but mixes your feelings and emotions alot. If you think your pretty and you know your good at makeup then that will shine out in you too :).as for your realationship I personally think you should end it you deserve someone who will always be there to support you and won't be there when he wants to be or when he feels like it. :)

Thanks everyone! And Caleb, I know I need to drop him. I've known it for so long, and I do but then I always go back to him, it's terrible. I'm just so glad that I didn't lose my virginity to him, i would've regreted it so much! And as for the rating thing, I've always had a problem with numbers. I had severe anorexia and I'm pretty recovered but I still can't look at my weight without relapsing. Numbers suck to me lol

I think you have good judgement MetalChick, the fact that you didn't loose your virginity to him means it is very important to you to find "the one" and if in your gut you know that this guy isn't the one you should let him go. Its always difficult and painful because even in bad relationships you do form an emotional attachment to a person, but hopefully there is a greater future happiness out there waiting for you! And sorry to hear about your eating disorder, its a difficult pattern to break out of, but your dedication to make-up is a fantastic way to channel your attention to detail away from numbers and onto making beautiful creations! :)

I feel like that a lot. And I know how u feel with ur on off boyfriend... mine told me to get over him and forget him so I did just that and I'm doing better now I think u should talk to him and if he doesn't make an effort I think u should move on.

warning you may not wana read this , the guy your having an on off with isn't worth your time , your a gorgouse girl and you disurve better. 4 years is crap hes not serious get out , i had a bad on off for about a year and it ripped my self esteem to shreds its unhealthy . jsut do your make up to please you thats whats inportant, YOU need to look in ther mirror and feel good who care what any one says . and don't be afraid to try and meet new guys. its always a good happy boost to get dressed up and go some where new and have fun and maybe be a huge flirt.
