Every night you look in the mirror before you go to sleep every night you cry to yourself because you hate what you see you point out your faults you jab and you taunt and the girl looking back, is hollow inside She says i'm not a princess i'm nothing great i'm not a princess i'm not worth dying for And thats how i met you covered in bruises and scars drinking and getting stoned dying of a broken heart and i say You may not be a princess but i can still see your tiara you may not be worth dying for but you sure as hell are worth living for and all your complications are imperfections and thats okay because you're perfect to me You're good at hiding how you feel you bury the problems away store them at the center of your heart that it makes it slowly distinguish away You say i'm not a star i dont shine nor stand out i'm not a star i'm not someone people wish upon You cover up your tracks by lethal nonchalant manners you hide away by becoming this this facade You may not be a star but you capture people with you're charisma you may not be wished upon nor stand out but you are like the moon you may have dents (like if youre me, on your thighs) or you may not be smooth but like the moon, you are luminary Like the moon you our my counterpart for my hair is as bright and fiery as the sun and you are as beautiful, you glow like the moon and the moon is perfect to me. You have guy troubles all the time because you're a hopeless romantic and always fall for the same damn line you like to think this one is it, the one but every time he leaves you more of a mess and less of everything that made you better than this You say no one will love me, no one will stay for i am a broken i push people away no one understands for i feel like i'm alone battling this, when all i want to do is be something, anything so someone cares Again, i'm always there i always find you in despair i'm your shoulder to cry on i'll share your tears I say no one can love you so much, because as you're best friend that is my job no body is meant to stay forever, but me? i'm not going to leave you may be broken but i'll help you mend yourself each time picking up the pieces of what the others left behind If you ever feel alone, know that i'll be there because while your contemplating battling i'm already fighting for your life What i'm trying to say is that though times are hard theres still so much more than you perceive and every time you dont believe in yourself well believe in me.. you are perfect to me. <b>This is a poem i did for Lizzie, awhile back.
