You say, a little loving is all we need but, All I hear you say, is I'm not good enough for me. The rule of thumb, Is never love someone else, Until you can love you. But I think that's dumb, Because if you've ever met someone like me, That phrase would be dead and gone. We receive the loving that we think we deserve, So if that's true is that why I keep getting hurt? Love has away of always stabbing me in the heart, If I turn my back, will I just fall apart? Who loves the broken girls, The ones forgotten about. Strung out in gutters, Or crippled with lifelong doubt. Will we never receive love? And get it returned to sender. If I never got love, How can I be a believer?
