He's everything, that you could want, it's breathin' down your neck, and you can feel it...now...And he's the one, to take you on, you never thought he could but now he's singing...loud... The Waiting Game, by Life on Repeat

I love technology but..... Jul 05 2014, 03:27 PM
It seems my boyfriend is just more interested in his games these days than he is me I try to have a conversation but all he does is ignore me cos he's too busy with his bloody phone and I just feel like I'm not worth attention or anything like that cos. I don't get any I feel so lonely and I sometimes just want someone to talk to it's no good talking to him about it I have in the past and if I did then then what's the point now and he's also speaking to one of his exes from high school fair enough it's a but away but doesn't stop me from being para but according to him he tells her I'm driving him round the bend even though all I've been is supportive but whatever and he gave her his number to talk or to meet up and hasn't said a word to me I just don't know if I trust him and I have depression enough as it is without worrying about all this I'm so lost I don't know what to do :(

Hi Toxic-cupcake. I really feel for you in this situation. It really sounds to me as if your boyfriend rather than facing up to his responsibilities is absorbing himself from one end of the day to another in "virtual" distractions. Of course it's important that each of you has your own space to pursue your own interests, as living in each others' pockets day after day would also be very tedious. But if you feel that he is doing this excessively he may not be as comitted to the relationship as you are. However tolerant you are of each other's leisure activities there must be a point where you actually feel that you can confide in one another as a couple. It sounds to me as if he's neglecting that part of the relationship. Try and strike up a balance, give him a bit of space to breathe but also put aside some time that you can both be together. Say to him straight how important this time together is and hopefully he will begin to take note and respect that he can't keep taking you for granted. If you've told him before about this and he thinks he can keep getting away with it now may be the time to take a stand. Ending any relationship is not something to be taken lightly and if you feel very deeply for him it may be worth giving it another go, but you must make it clear to him that he is in danger of loosing you, and if he cares for you that much it should spur him on to make an effort. This is a difficult situation and it must ultimately be your own descison how you proceed, but if you'd like to talk anything through you are more than welcome. All the best. :)

Ditch him and find someone who will treat you right. Technology like texting or gaming should come second to making you happy especially as you seem to make a lot of effort. I know it will be hard to let him go, but in time if you find someone else right for you it will be one of the best things you ever did. This might be a harsh answer but if you have already really tried to sort things out and he doesn't want to know you will just be prolonging the misery.
