Really Scared Jul 15 2014, 09:59 AM
So I've been in England for the Past week and am Going Back tonight ( why I havn't been on much this week) We went to see some of my family and because I needed a break well I just heard from my mum that when I go back they want me to go to a meeting so see if I Need to be put into a mental health center!. I don't think I'm that bad and I don't want to be put in a mental center.. which means counselling didn't really help me it's made me worse. knowing they think I might need it has made me spiral out of control to where will probably need it if I can't get control over myself What do I do.. I'm scared ... My parents aren't letting me go in but It's made me go out of control.I have nobody to and my Parents are trying everything to help but apart from them I have nobody :/

Hi broken princess I'm very sorry to hear about your predicament, all this additional stress must be really adding to your problems, so please if at all possible try and keep calm. Sometimes if a person is not responding well to medical treament, it will be suggested that the person is "sectioned" to help protect themselves and others. THis is usually only undertaken in an extreme case. Have you said anything to the effect that you "may take your own life" at any point? This may make counsellors reluctant to leave you unattended and prompt a discussion to decide what your risk is and whther they should intervene for your own safety. You mention that you don't think you are that bad. It is therefore extremely important if you feel that way, and don't feel you require further intervention that you communicate this in a calm and rational way to the councellors and your parents too. Be honest to yourself and then hopefully you can be honest to them too and they will make the right decision based on that. Rest assured, sectioning is never undertaken lightly, whatever your parents say, it will be down to a medical accessment (with your input) to decide whether this is the right course of action. Sometimes sectioning until a person feels able to cope themselves can be beneficial and is sometimes the right option, but if you can possibly avoid it, it would probably be better trying to recover at home rather than an unfamiliar environment. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. All the very best. :)
