I didn't know if I should put this in the fashion forum but I need some help so I came here I've never realized I've been emo my whole life so I wanna take it seriously now. My parents won't let me tease, dye my hair, wear makeup or get a piercing (Sad doe :( ) so I'm saving money for some new clothes and a straightener before 2015 (or when my aunt returns from the UK) So I wanted to know, will my current clothes do for now? I'll post a pic on how I look like or if needed I'll post a pic of some of my clothes And how do I look emo in school since I have to wear the uniform which is really just a shirt with the school logo and I can't wear gives and I have to tie my hair :( And how do I style my hair without damaging it or with all the fancy equipment? ~Mocha

You dont have to buy a new wardrobe to fit in with being emo, if your happy with what you wear then stick with that, its not just about what you wear either, people might be judging you as emo by the way you act. Its sad that people judge others nowadays but its the world we live in, although saying that, peoples judgement aren't always right and you should create your own judgements on yourself based on what you like and how you feel not what others think. I can understand where your parents are coming from as well, some parents don't want to see their kids grow up too fast (I don't mean this in a bad way, but you'll always be young in your parents eyes) and others do it to try and protect, some even do it because of their own past experiences, there isn't much you can do until you an adult though (even then its no good, I'm 20 and still got told off about my lip piercing ;P lol) maybe try compromising, ask if you can wear a little bit of make-up at weekends or school holidays or do a few chores round the house to style your hair different?? But never change your look based on what other people think, your beautiful in your own unique way :)

I didn't talk to them about makeup and stuff but I guess they found all my photos I've been drawing on lately so I'd see how I look like with makeup and whatnot :) My mom gave me her makeup box (Even doe I stole some lipstick from her which she doesn't use. Don't tell her doe ;O ) so I wouldn't need to buy makeup and waste the money I've saved. I guess your right, I shouldn't change what's in my wardrobe but mostly my clothes are almost like what everyone's wearing around me, including my friends. I wanna look different and feel different from everyone I know. Thank you for you advice @Seductive_Chaos. I know it's really gonna help me :) Thank you so much ^^ But I'll still save my cash for a straightener XDD
