Hi, i just wanted to hear you guys opinion on why emos are stereotyped for being introverted or shy? Maybe it's something to do with being outcasts in a way and not wanting to mix with society. I am who i am but i just want to investigate the stereotypes and the reason behind. What's considered "emo" by society can come in many different forms after all we are all different and laybeling is not something that should be done too often. So what are your opinions on emos being introverted and shy? And scene kids being bubbly, outgoing and random. I would be greatful for any answers.

I think there are a lot of emo kids who are shy, but there are many who aren't. Some just don't care about people, while others actually are somewhat outgoing, especially after you get to know them

I think the shyness is more towards other people that aren't into the scene. At least in my case it is like that. I am shy towards "average" people, have some problems coping with them. While on the other hand, I can be very open and outgoing with friends, other Emos or other alternative people in general.

Yeah your right. I guess it just depends what type of people you get along with. I think most emo kids are introverted because they feel like there not accepted for being alternative but personally i get along with people who are (very) weird, like my music and they don't have to be popular. Thanks for your reply. :)
