This isn't really poetry, but it's the closest thing to it. It's more of an explanation and poetic stuff. (i also wrote it at like 2 am) ver wonder why children are so keen to teddy bears? Perhaps it’s because they are there to fight off your monsters and demons when you can not. They protect you from the horrors of adult hood and they will be there for you, wherever you leave them. A teddy bear is a friend, someone who will listen to all you have to say, someone who will always agree that things are rough. A teddy bear is your childhood friend that went through all your stages without complaining how you changed over the years. However, there’s a point in time where you don’t touch the teddy bear anymore, and all the magic goes away. Soon you’re a young adult, facing tough choices on your own, Soon you’re demons close in while you’re dreaming, There’s no one to listen because everyone has their own problems, And yet your teddy still waits for the day you may return and ask for help . Weather it be a bear or not, maybe it’s a cow, a dog, a pig, a cat, a bird, or even a mythical animal such as a unicorn or dragon, you’re teddy will always wait, and will always be your best friend. Do not fret, your teddy is happy you grew up, a little lonely but happy. He or she is always happy to see you become a brave little shoulder, going into battle like a king and his men The only thing that you’re small studded friend wishes, is that you are happy. How many friends only wish for your happiness, and will never die? How many other friends will always be there in your arms during the night no matter the age? How many friends will wait right where you left them, just hoping that some day, you’ll return with open arms after the war is over? No, you will never have a friend quite like the stuffed bundle of joy you received when you were 3, 6, or even 13, But no matter the age, you’re teddy bear will always be there for you, no matter how broken you are from the tragic war of life
