i once was dating this guy that i fall in love with but i lied to him saying i was this model i later told him that this is the real me see pic on my page and he brake up with and ran off with some other girl

It happens, I used to do long-distance and online dating sometimes,the way I would make sure they were who they said they were is I would make them send a picture of themselves holding a specific object or write my name on their hand/piece of paper,that or video chat.

I've only catfished once, this was when I was 12 or 11. I used to play this game called "IMVU", I met this guy, he was 18, I said I was 19. I even looked up pictures of blond girls. I found one and put it in a blog that I made for that purpose. I sent him the link. He was in the military. So, a person he worked with, told me he said I was "hot". Flash foward to a year later (2013 to be exact), I said my name was "Skyler". He believed me. He asked me out that following year. We "dated" for almost a year (at that time). My mom found out, she told the person he worked with my age, later, I talked to him. The person he worked with said, "He almost got in trouble with his officer". I made up a lie; saying I was still 19 and that my "dad" just kept thinking I was 12-13 (I don't really remember what age I did this at). Flash forward to late 2013, he fell in love with "Skyler". I even made up a family. "Skyler", her brother "Nathan", her dad "Cristopher", and her bitch stepmother. I also made her suicidal because of her stepmom. Flash foward to 2014, we were still "dating". Her "grandmothe" told the person he worked with that "she's trying to kill herself!" The person he worked with believed it. Flash forward to late 2014, we were still "dating", but, when I said something about someone being fake, the person he worked with caught on. I was scared. I automatically deleted my account (I had had 2 at that point, saying I forgot the password). Flash foward to late late 2014. I had fallen in love with him, regardless knowing that he was older then I was at that time. I couldn't stop thinking about him. Flash foward to now, I still think about him sometimes; what could have happened if I hadn't been scared shitless. Now, since I'm older, I regret doing it. Absolutely 100% regretting it. Luckily, I haven't been on my laptop since I don't have wifi (I'm using hotspot). I used to play that game on the daily, I took a year to stop being afraid during that time. Regardless of what happened, I still liked the game. I am so lucky that I didn't meet the guy! Since then, I haven't catfished. Sorry for this being so long,I just remembered everything that happened and I wanted to share my "story".
