what do i ask my hairstylest for longish choppy emo hair? i want it something like johnnie guilberts

umm you show them a picture of what kind of hair style you want... at least thats what i would do....

ive tries that doesnt work with my barber, i had my hair really long and i showed her a pic of a short haircut pic, and she was like "umm ok so just a trim ?" im like no i want whats in the picture and shes like "ok" and she just gave me a trim

^I had the same issue so cut mine myself now and happy with it.

^^ same. In my experience, it's best if you jut cut it yourself. My parents didn't talk to me for a while because of that, but it was worth it. Just watch a couple of YouTube videos for inspiration or something. Good luck if you're gonna try it!

If you can afford it, try a hair stylist. I had the same problem with my barber who didn't know how to style long men's hair. If you see a guys who's hair you like just ask him where he gets it done. Or like suggested, cut your own. Not that I suggest it, but I used to trim my hair with a pocket knife, because it won't cut it all the same length and you end up with really jagged edges and no smooth lines.

i alway cut my own hair ...but a mohawk is easy ..if i ask a stylist to shave my head they just freak...im like ts not that bad ..good luck to you

Had a similar issue with my stylist too. So ended up using my stepdad's hairdressing scissors to do it myself and doesn't seem too bad. Sure there's a few guys on here who will be willing to give a few pointers on how to do it :)
