She is smiling like heaven is down on earth. Sun is shining so bright on her. And all her wishes have finally come true. And her heart is weeping. This happiness is killing her. Right Here In My Arms, by HIM

Cats or Dogs: Which is the best? 🐢🐱 Aug 02 2016, 03:40 PM
So, I have these friends. You can NOT say Cats/Dogs are better that Dogs/Cats otherwise, you have yourself an instant argument. My 'cat' friend says that cats are better, because: they're cuter, they clean themselves, they're cleaner than dogs, they're more loyal than dogs and are more loveable. My 'dog' friend says that dogs are better because: They're loveable, more loyal than cats, and benefit society - for example, Guide dogs, police dogs, and the fact that some dogs can detect medical illnesses (sorta). Neither of these two have owned the other animal. So I can see why they're biased, like myself only having grown up with dogs (rottweilers and a husky), I'm more for dogs. So which do you believe is best? I have a feeling that the majority of you will say cats 😢 but its your opinion.

I have grown up with both and owned both since. We have two cats now as I feel they are easier to look after. No going for walks in winter like with a dog. It's also easier to go on holiday as we have pet feeders and a water fountain. Well for a couple of nights anyway. Then just get a friend to check in on them. With a dog you either need kennels or to take it with you.

I have a cat who I love so I'd say cats, but I also like dogs and if I owned a dog instead I'd say dogs...

I've had both and I was never close with my cat. She kept herself to herself which did make it easier to look after her but there was no closeness. I now have two dogs as well as this cat they get on fine but I just love the loyalty and closeness I feel toward the dogs. It's more of a real friendship, giving and taking. I like needing to go on walks because I know I need to go outside and would never have the motivation without my little sweethearts.

My cat is super friendly and even lets me take him on walks on a lead in the garden. I agree some cats aren't as "close" though.

I have to say dogs because most of the pets I've had were dogs

I've grown up round both. Each pet I've come across has had a different personality, so hard to split the two apart really! :)

I have my own mini zoo. 5 Dogs, 1 three legged cat and 2 Lovebirds and 2 rabbits, oh and a handful of pet fish. The winner ~ Dogs Reasoning: Based on personal experience, dogs are a lot easier to train, also most rewarding in terms of hours/emotional investment compared to what you get in return. They make decent security for the house and they give me an excuse to go for a long walk in the streets and still feel safe'ish. Also cats tongues freak me out, their like a grater.. I mainly have bad experiences with cats, so my answer is also pretty biased. The cat I had growing up always attacked my legs as I was walking past. Evil critter. Dogs have masters, cats have slaves... Scenario: After returning after a long day of work.. Dogs be going mad and are overwhelmed by excitement by just the sight of me. Cat upon seeing me, will yawn and demand food.

I had a dog from age 7 to 16. Then a cat from 16 to now. Cats and dogs both have their own pros/cons but I love my baby. And as an adult, I would rather own a cat, just for the fact that they're mostly self sufficient. I would hate to have a dog and it be neglected bc of my life. But I want another kittten D:
