Hi, my (middle) name is Tyler, and I preferred to be called by my middle name, because I don't really like my first name, I don't think it fits me. I'm 15 years old, and I live in NC. I love listening to music, allowing the waves of sound to drown out the surrounding world. I don't like stereotypes, but if I had to describe my style I would say I dress more like a goth. I wear a lot of Slipknot related clothing, because they've been one of my favorite bands for several years. In fact, I've loved nu-metal in general for quite a while now. I haven't really stretched very far into emo culture yet, but I'm sure it's where I belong. Most of the emos I have talked to seem to have the same ideals as me, and I feel connected, even if I can't fix my hair to be as cool as a lot of emos can.
My friends say I'm funny, and I would agree, since I've always been kind of a joker. But laughter is just the morphine I inject myself with daily to deal with the pains of everyday life. I'm met constantly with disappointment and depression. I have good friends, but I can't expect them to understand, other than my two best friends.
