I miss him Oh so much, I miss his sweet and gentle touch. He'd run his fingers through his hair, If people laughed He didn't care. He was cool But I was not, He said someday We'd tie the knot. I wish he'd hold me and hug me tight, Squeeze me dearly With all his might. But as he lay on that hospital bed, They said we're sorry he's dead. As the tears filled my eyes I want to run away and hide, I don't believe you You're lying I said, I placed my hand upon his head. We're sorry We really are, It looks like his cancer's gone to far. I put my hand into his, He squeezed right back I know he did. The monitor beeped and the line became squiggly, He whispered to me I love you so dearly. Then the beep was really long, That's how I knew he was gone. Even now Still today, Cancer is the only word I cannot say.

"if" if tears would bring you back, i'd cry the sea and sail you home. if a heartbeat would make your heart of good pump once again, i'd sprint for miles to make yours never stop beating. if love you bring you back, i'd love you with all my broken pieces. if one wish would make the pain end, i'd wish the stars to fall if missing you would bring you back to me, you'd be home again. if this nightmare would end, i'd wake up to you next to me smiling and laughing again. if you never left, the "ifs" wouldn't be in the back of my mind and taring apart my heart. if you didn't leave, my heart wouldn't be sore. if you never said goodnight.. Forever, i would have never felt love like that. if things never happened this way, i wouldn't be able to say "thank you for showing me that I'll never be alone, even in an empty room". if goodbye didn't hurt this much, i'm sure it'd be said more often. and if goodbye doesn't mean forever then i can't wait to see you on the other side -JayJay Samuels
